There are several new additions to the Hp range, the new models are
- 12cp
- 17Bii+
- 49g+
- 39g+
- 48gII
- 33s
And various algebraic models such as the Hp9s, 9G and most recent 39G+. Some calculators have been released though certain retailers. Although there is no word on the offical HP site, some people have the new calculators in their hands and are using them.
The most talked about model (as far as the
HP48 newsgroup is concerned) is the hp49G's big brother, the 49g+. This new calculator features a new processor - Arm, running at 75Mhz, SD memory slot - removable SD memory format that supports up to 1Gig? of user removable memory, larger screen and a new and improved (over the 49G) keyboard.
There have been some issues regarding the 49g+, initally there was a problem with battery life and keyboard problems.
A side note: Of these three only the Hp33s is officially allowed on the US NCEES exams (Professional Engineering exams). All 48/49G type calcualtors are now banned from this major exam.
