The CORIS360® is a groundbreaking radiation imaging device designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational decision-making in radioactive environments. Launched in 2020 after seven years of development, the device employs compressed sensing technology for fast, precise, and high-quality 360° imaging. It is transforming applications in nuclear security, border monitoring, and reactor decommissioning.



Hydrix assisted ANSTO to refine the CORIS360® from a technical concept to a robust, user-friendly commercial product, delivering key innovations:
- Ergonomic Design: Developed a cylindrical form that mirrors internal mask geometry, incorporating a unique handle design for both intuitive operation and easy detector module access.
- User Interface: We helped develop a graphical interface overlaying radiation data on optical visuals, making complex information accessible to non-experts.
- Software Integration: Supported the integration of compressed sensing technology to enhance processing speed and imaging accuracy.
- Thermal Engineering: Optimized thermal design for reliable operation across diverse environments.
- Manufacturing Guidance: Provided expertise to streamline production processes for cost-efficiency and quality.
