Quality Management System Strategy

The GYDER™ System is an innovative, computer-assisted navigation tool designed to improve accuracy and efficiency in hip replacement surgery. Invented by Bob Lye, an ex-Qantas aeronautical navigation expert, the device provides surgeons with precise spatial positioning feedback to align the acetabular cup, eliminating the need for invasive pinning fixtures and lengthy robotic setups.

Key Benefits:
- Cost-Effective: Affordable alternative to robotic systems.
- Intuitive Design: Requires minimal training for surgeons.
- Time-Saving: Setup in under a minute compared to up to 30 minutes for robotic systems.
- Non-Invasive: Requires no pinning to the pelvis or femur.
- MIS-Compatible: Suitable for minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Hydrix’s Role:
- Full development of the system, taking the initial idea and evolving it into a commercial ready product.
- User-Centered Design: Refined the device’s usability and ergonomics through collaboration with surgeons during surgical trials.
- Regulatory Support: Guided Gyder in achieving ISO 13485 accreditation and establishing a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
