Congratulations to Hydrix’s Brad Phillips on being elected to the Board of the Australian Innovation Research Group (AIRG), an industry led association that provides a forum for businesses to share best practice and insights into innovation and the management of corporate research and development.

As a passionate advocate and facilitator of technology innovation, particularly in Australia’s mining technology sector, Brad is keen to continue AIRG’s efforts to involve more businesses in reaping the benefits of sharing learned experiences that enable companies to better innovate and grow.

Reflecting on his recent appointment Brad said “I am both honoured and excited to have been elected to the Board. The AIRG has been around for many years as a forum for best practice in innovation, drawing upon the experience of a diverse membership including companies such as Thales, Saab, Lockheed in Defence through to industrials such as Orica, Dulux and BlueScope and of course engineering design houses like Hydrix.”

“As we start to adjust to the ‘new normal’, companies will have an opportunity to pivot towards new business models and product directions. Now is the time think and plan, not react. Those companies that grasp this opportunity to think differently will be the ones that emerge better prepared for the challenges that are likely to arise over the next few years. How will your business respond?”

The AIRG is an industry led Association that supports the innovation and R&D initiatives of its members by increasing collaboration opportunities, facilitating peer-to-peer mentoring, i.e. companies learning from companies; building linkages to enable cross-sector learning, and providing access to international best practice for effective management of research and development and innovation.
